Hello everyone! Today while I was giving my studio a really good spring cleaning, the sun started shining in and it felt so peaceful and clean in here! I snapped a couple of pics to show all where I work and create my wonderful things for you every day.
It didn't use to look like this and up until about a year a go, my studio was a really depressing place. It was dark and unorganized. Not a place that I wanted to be in but with trying to keep up on my day to day, it kind of fell into last place. Having an organized work environment is a must. It doesn't matter if it's the basement or kitchen table (been there) I must be happy in the space that I spend most of my day in.
This dresser was only $10 at our local thrift store, I fixed it up with a Shabby Chic look and it's one of my favorite pieces in my studio. It holds some of my painting & jewelry supplies and also projects that I want to get to eventually. I like everything tucked away so that I don't get overwhelmed. It can get pretty crazy in here especially when one of my wholesale orders come in. My space isn't very big so I need to stay very organized. I always have several different projects on the go.
Over the past couple of years, I've created a space that is peaceful and inspiring. At the end of my day, I usually make sure things are nice and tidy so that when I start again in the morning, it's a fresh new day.
One of the best things about my studio is that it didn't cost very much to put together. I like to go to our local thrift stores and fix things up to re-use. This piece below only cost .50 and with a fresh coat of paint, it's now a perfect necklace holder. It used to be a display for spoons.
I you enjoyed the sneak peek inside my studio. I'll continue to share more posts like this and hopefully inspire you to create your own perfect space without spending a ton of money. You can do it!
PS - I LOVE to see people's studios. Please share with me your Pins and Blogs and Websites below so I can take a peek and share with others that follow my blog! I found some really fabulous studios on Pinterest and pinned them to my board HERE. Enjoy.
Till next time - Shawna
